One Step One Memory - Coursemate Trips Part 1 (Pulau Perhentian)

Graduation - actually makes people tie to each other more closely. Because we are reluctant to leave each other. 3 words in Chinese: 舍不得 

即将失去，所以珍惜。

Just like everyone else, we have our Graduation Trip! Not one but two. Haha.

Glad to mingle well with this bunch of Crazies before I graduate. 

I don't really close to them in the early years. Haha. Perhaps, it is a blessing for me to know them well in the end. :p 迟来好过没到.

Ya, at first I THINK they are not my types of friends. Different Channels? 

PLUS. I was too busy with my activities, no chance to hang out with them as well.

PLUS. Everyone is not yet closed to each other too (early stage). 

But time proves my perception is on the wrong side. We actually "Gham Key" or "Same Channels". Haha

Three Year is when we are closed to each other. Thanks to Design Exercise and Control Project. 

They are super closed. For me, consider good already. 

The time when I really love them and closed to them is the final semester of final year. 

The chit chat and overnight in Jiu Liang's house during CNY makes the magic happens. 

We laugh, we talk, we share. Emotional sharing of Jiu Liang and Xiuz really touches everyone.
I love the feeling to get together with each other. Got family de Feel~~~ haha

So, everyone is excited for the graduation trip! Also because all finals and projects are ENDED!!! 

The trip is a reward to the tortures we have suffered from in final year. :p

PERHENTIAN ISLAND

After long bus journey and boat, we have arrived the beautiful Perhentian Island.

We stayed in Perhentian Island Resort. Quite High Class but room needs to improve o. haha. 

19 of us in the first day. Xiuz and Joe cannot join us (unfortunately, because they need to study more, XD)

Big thanks to our Boss, Chi Seng for all the arrangement la. <3 

We do not need to worry at all, Just Go! haha. 

Now only realize, we don't have much scenery photo!!! OMG. haha. Never mind la, the most important ones are the people. Haha 

Activity on Perhentian surely cannot lack of Snorkeling. Special thanks to super rich Xuan Min for the water proof camera. Haha. 

Actually I cannot recognized the Open-Mouth guy inside here. Ray Lim? haha.

We have not much things to do in the first day. Free and Easy after the Snorkeling. 

Oh ya, another interesting activity in the resort is EAT! haha

Buffet style breakfast, lunch and dinner. All are quite Delicious. =) First time see Jia Yen eats so much. Haha. This proves the food is GOOD. haha

We also love to gather in the Gay Lou's room and chit chat. Simple talking is Fun also. haha. 

Night has come and We have Gary's Games session!

Prepared since first year. Brand new. Exciting yet 18 SX. 

Some are Quite Complicated de Games. But we all "Enjoy" well. (we know what I mean)

While playing games, also Never Forget to take photos!!!

After the games, we have VINCENT and CK DJ session. Haha. 

I really admire their spirit to bring us Enjoyment by bringing heavy speakers along and the DJ apps! haha

Half of us go party, Half go beach walk walk. (酱快 分Gang XD)

From Clubbing party to become Drinking party. Oh no. 说好的 摇滚呢？haha.

The drinking game we play is just challenging my limit. Haha. Luckily Not Yet Exceed. or else GG.com lor. 

We have a lot of fun actually even though making me feeling like "study too much" (Heavy Brain).

True or Dare games always Come on Stage after party. Hearts to hearts. Haha. 

Those are memories and secrets. =)

We called in a night, Sleep at 12 am, because we still have Snorkeling in the next day.  

Yeah. The best part about the next day is, Our Li Xiu has Come back to Us! haha. 

He not even steps on the resort more than 15 min, we go on with another snorkeling session Haha.

The most "Syok" part of the second snorkeling is, we get to touch the Giant Turtle. Yeah~~~ 

Those touch twice, please admit!!! haha. 

And the gifts from the nature are the Scars due to sharp corals. >.< . Wai Chun even sees Doctor because Coral "Kiss" him too hard. Oops~~~

Tiring Snorkeling ends and beach games start. 

Beach Volley Ball. I like the game, just don't like the big sun. 

I think everyone is enjoying it. Xuan Min enjoys dodging balls, Ray Lim loves to kick like takraw, JiaLiang and SeekChung love to serve ball and etc. 

Which team serves ball, that team will score. It is Normal. haha.

After that they also go for football which I don't like. haha. 

Girls also have their very own Bo-Jio activity: Photo Shooting. 

OK la OK la, all Leng Luis lar~

The sun sets and that night is a special night. 

We gather in one room and have POST MORTEM! 

We share our perspectives to each other, express our thoughts (Like or Dislike), Stab hearts like Free of charge. Haha. But afterward, it turns to be more sentimental. My tears are just too Cannot Tahan to flow out when I talk. Those words are True. 

I treasure the time with everyone and glad to know each other before I grad. Or else I will lose Great Friends. T.T

I think we know each other better after the POST MORTEM. Some misunderstandings are solved and we understand each other better. But some hatred are still planted. 说好的 “明天要忘记呢？” haha

And Do Not forget Jeff and Xuan Min de "Lim Teh in Malacca oh!!!" 

Hahahahaha. Their Hand Shaking is just like winning a "Nobel Peace Price". What a fruitful post mortem.

I think no one will forget that night. Volcano and Tear Waterfall.

After that, we all go to PARTY Room!!! haha.

~Thoughts After the Trip~

This 20 people trip is indeed a wonderful memory that I will treasure forever. The Fun, the Sharing, the Laughter. 

Thanks everyone for making the trip so so so Awesome. 

In future, perhaps, we don't have much chance to travel with big bunch of great friends. 

May our friendship lasts forever! Don't let time decays our friendship (Make the Half life to infinity pls) and Do Kacau each other when got the chance ya. 

Now dreaming also has you guys inside. So Crazy! Haha

Getting Sentimental - Graduation is Just around the Corner

Long time didn't update my blog~ 

After all long thesis-making processes, finally I have mood and time to blog. 

Thesis is really not an easy task. But we (Chemical Engineering) have two. haha. It sounds crazy right? But it is TRUE!!! 

My projects on hand are

1. Design of Coal-based Entrained Flow Gasifier

2. Absorption of Carbon Dioxide into Aqueous Mixture of Glycerol and MEA

Thanks God, we are quite consistent in producing the products (The Two Thesis). So we didn't suffer in last minute work =) 

Thesis presentation in front of 2 industrial panels and 3 lecturers. They are not terrifying like last semester ( 7 panels). Perhaps we have prepared well. Thanks my gasifier comrades for sharing information. I feel so glad to be in the team.  

Suffers have gone and smiles have brighten

Hopefully our struggles and efforts are appreciated and rewarded

The happiness overfills the atmosphere. 

We shout out our relief and smile out our joy.

Not to forget,

The Last Class in my 18 years of being a student.

I don't really know should I be happy or sad. It signifies the good times in class fading away. 

Accept it or not, we are leaving the student life. The life fills with stresses and happiness + true friendship.

  

I have also submitted my two thesis. My beloved babies. Hope they really help me in securing my result. 

Even though we might feel stressful or miserable along the process, we won't really remember the bitterness but the sweet of our fruits. 

Classmates and I always feel super lucky and blessed to be in the batch 2010/2011. Although we are not the best batch (aspect from academic and curriculum), we are united and selfish-less! We work together and share with each other. They indeed help me a lot a lot! I love my classmates! 

My classmates love to ask, "Why you so ON in joining us recently?". Yes, I seldom join them in my 1st and 2nd year because I am busy with my activities. But... In this very last semester, I really appreciate the time with them and memory we have created... I think they just make me more and more reluctant to leave UM... So hope we are closed since the first day...   

So afraid I cry like a baby during our graduation trip. Oh No!

May our friendship last forever and ever~~~

As the time goes, I am getting more and more sentimental.

How the idea pops out to open a Blogshop? 

Here is the story!

Jess (my bestie & partner) and I keep saying we must do something crazy or some big projects before we graduate! After some discussion, a light bulb dressed in colors pops out. Why not we open a fashion blogshop to sell girls' clothing? and Jess has the experience in it. This idea is the most feasible project for both of us! Haha. 

Then in the last Chinese New Year Sembreak, we have several meetings and discussions. Finally we got the name for our blogshop:

Of course, we crack our head for the design of blog and pick up some knowledge about the blogshop such as how to order & etc.

We are quite new in this business, we just do whatever we can. Luckily Jess knows a little bit about blogshop because she did it before AND she shops A LOT! haha. Experience can come from there too. haha. I pick the right partner and do the right business Perhaps.

April!!! Finally there is another good movie!!! after Captain America.

Thanks Nuffnang for the Premiere Screening ^^ I damn love this movie! 

Of course, this movie's main selling point is Our Dearest Paul Walker. He was really an Excellent actor! He performed very well in Brick Mansions too. This time not only cars, but actions as well! Awesome ^.^

Unexpectedly, the plot and the arrangement of whole movie impress me! There is no Boring part that allows us to YAWN. So this movie gets a recommendation from me. 

It is a story in Brick Mansions where is sort of deserted area. No government, but drug dealers and bad guys. The 2 main characters have the same target to get rid of the Drug dealing Boss. But the story changes dramatically half way. ... ... 

In short, 2 handsome guys conquer the audience's hearts!

There are some parts very hilarious too. Haha

I think not only Paul did a very good job, his partner, David Belle's performance also worth a full marks! His every action, art of motion, stunts, body fitness are Fantastic! I bet you will like his extremely difficult movements too.

Yeah, Thanks God We ( Andrew and I ) get the chance to go Germany for the Grand Final of Henkel Innovation Challenge 7 (HIC 7), representing Malaysia and Southeast Asia.

Luckily we join this year, because last year Grand Final was in Shang Hai, China. You know What I mean. Haha

14 hours of Flight + 4 hours Transit @ Dubai
We are in Dusseldorf, GERMANY !!!

We arrive one day earlier, so we stay in a backpacker hostel for a night. Without wasting a single second, we go for a walk in Dusseldorf.

Dates I wouldn't never forget. We experience Thousands and Thousands of things here! 

Yup, we checked in the BEST hotel in Dusseldorf. It is the most expensive hotel I have ever stayed! 295 Euro per night @@

At First actually we bring a Vacation Mood to Dusseldorf, because we got nothing to lose. Haha. But we really prepare for the competition seriously before, since we bear the burden of representing SEA. >.<

This time we have our new Mentor, Miss Sook Ping (Suky)

She is really young and energetic. Participants from other countries also agree with this. She guides us very well. We love her so much ^.^ Feeling FANTASTIC to work with her. We are just like Good Friends, no boundary even with her Great Position in the company.

First night in Hyatt is rather relaxing, we practice for few times and meet up Sook Ping for a while. Yeah, we sleep well. Haha

The First day of the Challenge

But it starts with very relaxing activities! I really like it. No Tension AT ALL. We have little introduction of the competition and every mentors. Most of the mentors have Worked with Henkel for 15 - 20 years! Really Amazing!

We continue with other challenges in the second day.
The challenges in the league are basically about Innovation and Marketing. We all do our best but it is stressful (indeed).

After all the challenges~~~ It is the time to announce the result!!!
From each league, only 2 teams will be selected for the Grand Final on the Third Day.

Andrew and I are really exhausted and hungry during the result announcement. We are really sleepy @@ I do not have good feeling towards the result though.

All 8 Names of the teams are READY and in a Big Bowl. 

Emcees randomly pick up and announce.

The way they announce is really descriptive. They will describe the country and people will start guessing.

At the same time, Sook Ping shows her Poker Face, I cannot get any news from her expression. haha.

After 4 teams... No one from our league. 

Then, 

The emcee says:

"It is a small country, far far away from here, I don't really know much about this country. There are a lot of forests and I am not sure whether there are a lot of insects"

MALAYSIA!!!

We are really Astonished!!! Actually we didn't expect we can win as we have strong opponents in the league, Even Though we hope so lar.

Suffering night preparation, Redo the slides, Rehearse new things, and 3 Hr 15 min Sleep ONLY. Terrible.

We move to Headquarter of Henkel in Dusseldorf. 

Extremely Huge Offices and Factories!

They have prepared us a SUPER GRAND Stage. Really Laudable and Marvelous! Of course this further "enhances" the tension and nervousness we have. T.T

After lucky Draw, we are the 6th to present... 

Long waits , Strong heart beats

We Pray, and the prayer indeed quiets my jumping souls. 

Then it is our Turn~~~ 

Presenting in front of 20 ++ judges, and 60 ++ audiences.

Exciting yet heart-attacking

Honestly, our presentation is not up to standard. But Thanks God, our Q & A is well done. Ok la, satisfied la... 

The most hilarious scene during Q&A is:

Judge: Some people have no hair and bald then how your shampoos works as air purifier?

Me: Sorry, that is why our product is not targeting everyone.

*Everyone laughs like watching Mr. Bean. Sorry, if it sounds rude. Luckily the judge also thinks this is a funny yet accurate answer. Haha

After the presentation, body temperature rises! but I feel so happy. EVERYTHING IS OVER! hahaha

After all the presentations, it is time for lunch and judges discussions. Erm, some friends will say "Well Done", "Your answer is really Funny", "Congratulation", "Good Presentation"... Some comments might not from the bottom of hearts, but they make me Happy. Who care is sincere or not wo. Hahaha.

Then we have Industry Visit in Henkel HQ. Beauty Care, Laundry & Home Care and Adhesive technology factories. 

After all the tiring schedule, what makes me awake again is the CITY TOUR! wohoo~~~ 

We get the chance to ride Segway!!!

City tour with this little machine is really Fantastic! Cool Breeze and Breathtaking scenery in Dusseldorf. I LOVE EUROPE. haha

I really enjoy very well. I believe I can Fly~~~

Wokay, then is the time for Gala Dinner.

Suit Up and Let's Go. 

We have arrived nice restaurant and had nice buffet dinner.

I really wish to know why we are not there (Except those reasons I know myself). haha. But on the second thought, we originally didn't aim for this! So, we shall have fun and the result is Nothing! haha... Lying to myself. :p 

Anyway, congrates to all the winners ^^

Remember, all of us are already the winners! Wohoo... 

The Most Memorable part comes after the Saddest Part. 

We all move to a Club where all have gone CRAZY!

The disappointment keeps disturbing me, BUT, I manage to forget it and enjoy the dancing! haha. 

Thanks to my strong body, even though I am really exhausted, still can go crazy with others. Small complain: the songs are a little bit old school. I hope I can bring all to Malaysia Clubs (Sounds Naughty - but I am not clubbing-animal oh)

Yeah the party is really awesome, but the Craziest part is the LAST HOUR before we leave the club.

I am grateful to stay until the end! Malaysians POWER!!!

We have insane Beer Drinking Contest (First time ever finish one whole glass in my life in a shot)

Of course, crazy random dancing (Unleash the monsters and Enjoy the atmosphere - Everyone goes ALL OUT)

And also touching songs with warm hugs (Yeah, I have to admit I extremely like this session and hugs to say good bye to friends. Tears flow down again when hugging Andrew - We have gone through a lot of things together, Full of emotions)

This party, we enjoy, we have fun, we know each other even better and it really unites all the participants! My honour to know everyone in HIC 7!!! You all are AWESOME!!!

Friendship Forever

We have our last breakfast in Hyatt, then depart to Paris. 

Last But Not Least (Feeling)

Yeah, we taste Victory and Defeat in HIC 7. 

I would say nothing is more important than the experience. This is a God's gift to both of us. We shall be Grateful for everything. First of all thanks God for the opportunity and guidance along the way to the grand final. I know God is helping us. 

Then thanks my brother, Andrew to participate together with me. Even though you hate my "No + perfectionism", I hate your "Emotion". If given a chance to choose again, I still wish to have you to be my best partner again. 

Thanks Parents for the financial support and UM for all supports.

Thanks Louis and Sook Ping for being Fantastic mentors! You guys help a lot a lot a lot!!! We Don't know how to thank more ~~~

HIC 7 definitely a milestone in my life and university life. I learn a lot and grow too. Wonderful memory and what doesn't kill me makes me stronger! I am a fighter. I will continue to colour my life and leave no blank! God bless...
